CAD for unemployed
It’s sad that most advertised CAD jobs, will go to an
experienced person, even though many of those will not have had recent
CAD training.
Indeed most of your competitor candidates will be relying on
old CAD training certificates.
Employers are aware that skills rapidly decline, if CAD software
is not used or practiced. So it’s quite possible that some will ask for a
CAD skills test at a job interview.
It would be good for you to have an official Autodesk
Essentials training course and gain an Autodesk “Satisfactorily attended training
certificate”. Then to improve your chances of short listing and success, candidates should look to gaining some useful efficient drawing techniques, that will impress employers over and above the Essentials course content.
